The beach in front of Coast Cottages is the widest and best stretch of beach on the island.
At low tide, the beach joins the sandbars and you can walk straight out to sea for a ½ mile!
The morning sunrises are spectacular … bring a camera. The waves are small which is why
skimboarding is popular here. Shell collecting varies with the season, but early risers get the
best selection.

If you like bike riding, you will LOVE St. Simons Island. We have bike/walking trails along all
the important roads. You can rent bikes and travel almost anywhere on the island. Here is a
link to our bike paths.

Most people who visit here for the first time wonder why more people haven’t discovered
this place. It’s truly unique and beautiful.
